A laundry with «VYAZMA» equipment was launched in khabarovsk hospital

Compliance with sanitary regulations requirements is the main concern of any medical institution. Hospitals pay special attention to compliance with linen and laundry services and competent management of washing in specialized laundries. This issue became most relevant during the coronavirus pandemic response, when the list of requirements was augmented with the mandatory use of personal protective equipment, compliance with social distancing measures and regular disinfection.

Many hospital laundries faced an urgent need to automate the washing process and make it as safe as possible. The City Clinical Hospital No. 10 in Khabarovsk was no exception. Today, this medical institution operates as an infectious military hospital for patients with coronavirus infection with a total bed capacity of more than 500 beds. The staff uses additional overalls, changed several times a day. Consequently, the amount of laundry in the hospital is significant.

The City Clinical Hospital has its own laundry, using primitive household washing machines for many years, hence, control of laundry cleanliness was entirely dependent on human factor.

In September 2020, the official dealer of Vyazma machine -Building plant in Khabarovsk replaced fully the outdated washing machines with the state-of-the-art professional «Vyazma» equipment.

The washing process was secured with the washer-extractor of the «barrier» type LB-30. This type of equipment is designed specifically for the health sector in accordance with the requirements of sanitary and epidemiological standards. The two doors available in the machine provide a barrier between the «dirty» and «clean» laundry area, eliminating the risk of infection spread.

The laundry of Hospital No. 10 was also equipped with automatic washing machines, having the load capacity of up to 50 kg, drying machines and an ironing calender.

Concerned effort of the plant and the dealer enabled complete re-equipment of the laundry at the earliest, eliminating complete process shutdown, and professional «Vyazma» equipment was of help for the hospital to automate the washing process and increase the laundry efficiency, while meeting all requirements of the Sanitary Regulations and Norms.
