Payback period and profit taking are the primary aspects of running a successful business. As a rule, investments in laundry business pay off for quite a long time. Currently, there are already a number of ways, increasing profitability of laundries considerably. One of them is energy reduction of laundry equipment. Here we talk not about «specific» steam machines (as not every laundry has a steam boiler room nearby after all), successfully manufactured by «Vyazma» since long ago, but about the budget-friendly heat recuperators for «Vega» electric drying machines.
The operation concept in imported heat pump systems is as follows. A refrigerator is installed in a special-purpose machine, which condenses moisture from warm air, making it dry. Next, this dry air is used to dry the laundry. Thus, quite significant savings are achieved, but at the expense of the same considerable production loss of the drying machine, since the drying cycle time increases considerably. Another major weakness is that this system requires manufacture of a special-purpose drying machine.
«Vyazma machine-building plant» took a different approach. The task was set to design a universal system, suitable for any drying machine and requiring no «specific» manufacturing, as well as operating with no production loss of the drying machine. This task was solved successfully. Thus, the heat exchange add-on device (code name), or the heat recuperator was designed, allowing power reduction of the drying machine WITHOUT PRODUCTION LOSS. The recuperator is based on the simplest way of energy saving: warm air after the drying machine comes into a special heat exchanger of the add-on device, where it heats the fresh cold air coming from outside. Energy savings for drying are achieved that way.
Tests carried out based on the drying machine «Vega» VS-40 with a 40 kg load revealed good results. Energy savings without production loss reached 16% or up to 86 thousand rubles per year! As a result, the recuperator will pay off in a year, and then there are net savings of 86 thousand rubles per year with one drying machine. The heat exchange add-on device does not require electricity supply, level of electricity consumed is reduced through the heat recovery process described above. The add-on device can be floor-mounted (installed on the floor next to the machine) or wall-mounted (hung on the wall in case the machine stands next to the wall). Connection to the machine is by the supplied hoses, and to the exhaust ventilation. The add-on device is quite compact and needs small area for installation. Order the recuperator complete with the new machine, or seperately. If the customer has already installed drying machines of «VS» series, and experiences capacity shortage or just wants to save money, he can send a request to the plant, indicating the model of the required recuperator. The plant will supply the heat exchanger with sleeves, and the customer will have no trouble to connect the sleeves and replace a couple of facings on the machine.
